CHRYSOFORA is the name of our village.
It means “bearing gold”
for the liquid gold
flourishing on the hills there.
We began with a conversation about our family heritage making olive oil
in ancient Messinia.
Which sparked memories of the place we spent our childhood summers.
From
orchards
our grandmother nurtured,
that her
grandparents planted.
We realized our connection to our past was rooted all around us.

Two cousins:
One in Greece and one in America, created the Chrysofora brand.

It is the bounty of our olive oil that has continued to unite us through the centuries.
Working with farmers who live the life of organic and sustainable methods, we continue to be guided by our love for the liquid gold that grows on the verdant earth of our ancestors.
